Sew excited to be re-doing my sewing room!

Okay, so I am lucky and blessed enough to have a WHOLE room in my house dedicated to whatever I want. It's only 11' x 12', so it's not a palace. BUT, it has a door (to keep cats out) and it has two windows. Ahhh...

Speaking of windows. We are shortly going to be replacing the windows on our top story. Guess where my sewing/crafting/quilting/music storage/JUNK room is? Yup. On the 2nd story.

In my room (affectionately called my Wo-Man Cave), the two windows are actually getting larger and moving more towards the center of the walls. While this makes for better views, better natural light and a prettier place to work.... it also means that I effectively loose wall space for fabric shelves, hangings, thread racks and such. Kinda like life in a way.... some things are a trade-off.

The contractor will be ripping out the windows and replacing them at the end of June and through July. And meantime... I've packed up almost all of my crafting and sewing. I've also spend some serious time planning out a brand new sewing floor plan. (And as most crafters know... a brand new storage plan). It's become both a passion and a contest - to see what I can come up with to make my "Sew Cave" a nicer place to work and play. Sew let the Games begin!
